Ms. Jenny

Little Picasso Hello! My name is Jennifer. I have 4 years of experience working with children and I will be instructing painting classes. Not only do I have a passion to teach children but I also love to paint and draw on my free time. I’ve been into art since I was a kid. Personally I find painting a great way to express how we truly feel. We are, ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves. I am so excited to get to know my little artist and have fun!

“Every child is an artist...” - Pablo Picasso

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie Rios. I have fourteen years of experience in Early Childhood Education. My passion focuses on being able to assist with laying a foundation of learning for young children. My motivation is learning while teaching young minds. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy incorporating my Latin culture in lessons. Visual Arts is a style that provides creative thinking and expression, an important component for young children. During art classes, children will have the opportunity to formulate and explore historical and cultural context of works in the arts. But more importantly, children will have fun as they explore and express their individuality in each project.

As stated, we are not only about the physical aspect of health, we also are about mind and body.  We’ve come to learn that art is naturally linked to creativity, an attribute that is increasingly being touted as one of the most important factors for the success of individuals, organizations, and cultures.

Arts and health are, and should be firmly recognized as being, integral to health. There are many research articles confirming the engagement in the arts can promote prevention of disease and build wellbeing.

While the threat of cutback is in the air about art education, we decided it was time to step up and fill the possible gap that may occur within the near future for our children.
